Hello chicken pals,
ok here's the story: we have a blind 3 yr old barred rock hen who has lived w 7 other barred rock hens. Recently she got sick so we quarantined her after visiting the vet. Now she is feeling better but since we have tried to re-introduce her the rest of the flock attacks her and she cannot defend herself.
We are so distressed since she is obviously lonely. We have bought 4 Wyandotte chicks to keep her company and hopefully we can introduce them all to the flock. We have not put them w. Her yet.
What is the best method here? Is there a vaccine for the babies? Her immune system is probably not the best.
Is this a good idea?
Thanks for your help we love our "Stevie" (Wonder)

I would keep her isolated until she is healthy and if she is blind the younger ones could probably be introduced as early as 4-5 weeks.
