Advice needed please

I am sorry for your loss.

Here in the United States we can send our birds to a state lab where they will preform a necropsy to determine the cause of death for a very cheap rate.
I have no idea if y'all have something like that available over there but if you don't you can learn a lot by opening the bird up yourself.
Nothing like that here (that I'm aware of!). It's enough for us that we know she had a fantastic life here with us. Her absolute favourite activity was rummaging through the compost heap and she was a cheeky, happy, super friendly hen. They're all members of our extended family and we do our very best to make sure they have as good a life as possible. We will all miss her terribly.

If you don't mind may I ask what exactly you feed your birds?
Its a mix especially for laying hens from the mill. It has all the cereals, etc that they need and added vitamins, calcium, etc. They also get to rummage about in the compost heap and occasionally get into my vegetable and herb garden - and eat everything in sight. We also soak seeds for them (can't think of the name in english right now) and they have that as a treat.

Poor thing..
Just by looking at her there was no doubt she was dying.
You see the purplish color in her comb?
I am still learning - we've only had chickens for two years. I will know to look out for that in the future. I knew she was in big trouble when I saw her...but I still hoped I was wrong.
We rescue older dogs ......it is the same....you know when it is time to let them go, even if your heart is breaking.

The mix that's made for the laying hens...
Can you take a picture of what it looks like?

I'll get right to the point.
If birds have the options to choose which grains they want to eat out of a whole grain type feed... It is highly likely that they are not getting a balance diet.

Birds that don't get a balanced diet are much more likely to suffer from either fatty liver disease or a laying disorder. Both which are deadly.

I highly recommend stopping all treats and feeding only a pelleted or crumble type feed... If it is available to you.

Oh wow - I had no idea. We are at the end of the current bag so I will check what is available. Thank you.
