Hi everyone,
I'm new to raising chickens. 3 1/2 weeks ago we adopted 3 hens, 2 are Ameraucana and 1 is a silver laced wayandotte. I was told the were between 10 months old and 1 year, and started laying eggs at around 9 months old. It took almost 2 weeks for us to get our first egg, and have been getting one almost every day since from the silver laced wayandotte. I'm concerned that I haven't had any eggs from either of the Ameraucanas. I know it takes awhile for them to adjust to their new surroundings, but its been over 3 weeks.

The chickens all seem very happy. They free range during the day, eat tomatoes off our plants, and pomegranates, and also enjoy meal worm treats daily. They adapted well to their coop and go in there on their own at dusk. I check the yard regularly to see if they started laying somewhere else besides the coop, but nothing. Do you think I got ripped off and someone sold me some old chickens that no longer lay eggs, or why would they not be laying? Am I being impatient, or should I be concerned?
Thank you for your advice/ feedback

Chickens are creatures of habit and moves can stop ovulation. Even though those breeds shouldn't molt till their second autumn, stress of a move could have caused that to start.
You can pick up the birds and check pelvis and vent.
The cloaca should be large and moist if laying. There should be 3 or more fingers width between the pelvic bones if they're laying. If they've shut down those things will change.
Have patience.

I'd confine them to coop and run for a few days to see if they are laying,
and that might help to 'train' them to use the coop nests too.
