Advice please

Evening all, just need some advice really. I have one of those little 7 egg incubators with an inbuilt thermometer, I've also got this thermometer /hydrometer that I've placed inside. Where would be the most effective area to have it to get the most accurate reading?

I didn't know whether to put it on the bottom of the incubator or above the eggs
