Hi everyone, I have a hen, Tatiana, who is a bantam Cochin frizzle. She hatched beginning of September 2024. Her backside and wings are bald because she was my roosters favorite this summer while his normal favorite was brooding chicks. I don’t think she will molt until next year so I’m worried about her going through winter like this. We live in southwest michigan. I do have a radiant heater we use on very cold days. But my question is, will she be okay outside this winter? Or should we prepare to house her in the house? We have discussed putting her in a horse stall in one of our barns for the winter but I worry about her being lonely. I’ve also attached a photo of how she normally looks. Any advice is appreciated!
