Advise And Help Needed!

OK, my hen hatched out 4 eggs and 3 ended up roos. I am trying to find homes for them but am having NO luck. No roos are allowed in my area so I have them in the garage because they are starting to crow. What should I do?-i don't want to cull them-don't think i could do that. They are 9 weeks old and I feel bad keeping them in the garage in a pen. I put an ad in craigslist and 3 other ad places. Eek I am really starting to worry about this. Any ideas of what else I could do to find them a home? thanks

You said you put them on craigslist? Did you charge for them? Maybe you could say FREE cockerals to give away. If you're deseperate to rid of them...maybe free is the ticket.

I know what you are going through, out of my first batch of 4 chicks--3 turned out to be roos! I tried very hard to find good homes for all of them, but ended up giving two of them to my neighbor to butcher. I even found a vet that would put them down (but wanted $50!). The last one was a great roo and I did find a home for him on CL, I really hope it worked out. Good luck, it is not easy when they are pets.
