Advise HELP ASAP

A hand has hatched her chicks in a boat I haven't seen her get out of the boat with her baby chicks it's been about a couple days I have been throwing food over hopefully she and her babies have been eating we do have a cool that we're trying to renovate to make it secure and livable for her and her babies I am clueless as to what to do the other people that live here just don't seem to help so I need help and advice of what I need to do what should I put in a box what should I use as a box please help

A large plastic tote works well for my birds while I am raising them. They are ducks however. I hope that they have water too. Good luck with them. Hopefully it is not cold where you are. It is getting below freezing soon here in Ohio.
