Advise - if possibly munching on worms, do they need grit?

My chicks are about 4 - 4.5 weeks old and i let them outside in their pen for about an hour or so a day and they pick at the grass, dust bath in the dirt and today, they found a worm for the first time and oh the chase that went on, LOL...so funny! But, my question is do they need grit? They have chick starter available at all times and our land is QUITE rocky and but the pen isn't very rocky...so do i need to sprinkle out some grit for them?

I would give grit just to be on the safe side. I put the grit in a small dish so I can tell whether or not anyone is eating it. They are, even though their run is covered in sand.
