Last year my peahen laid about 30 eggs as I kept collecting them . Half were put under a broody hen all the eggs hatched the other half were put under the peahen as she had also gone broody. But only two eggs hatched. This year my peahen laid 7 eggs I didn’t collect them rather left them in her nest. She laid them in early March and became broody. Today is the 26 day . I found one broken egg yesterday which was rotten and today as she left her nest for food . One egg exploded. The egg was rotten and had smelly black liquid. She is sitting on the remaining eggs .I am pretty sure that those have gone bad too. If the eggs don’t hatch till the 30 day should I buy one day old chicks and put under her or will she lay eggs again as she has ample time left in her breeding season ?Has anyone had second breed of their peacocks?

I cannot help you with an answer... Our peahens started laying last summer and she only did one clutch - 15 eggs. We had 5 in the incubator and they were not fertile. The other 10 - nothing came out and we didn't check if they were fertile or not.
But are you saying you've put 15 peahen eggs under a broody chicken hen?

Can you candle the remaining eggs under your broody peahen?
