Hi all,

I am currently looking to order a smorgasbord of large breed chickens at just a few pullet chicks per breed/variety. In particular, I am definitely interested in some Polish, Wyandotte, Cochin, Phoenix, and Sumatra varieties (my aspiration is to eventually create a a local breeding/educational center, but that will be a number of years down the road after I have finished school). However, I don't want to break the bank with this order, and I don't want to order from a hatchery too far away from my home in North Carolina. I ordered from IDEAL Poultry once before and spent a little more than desired; the Texas hatchery was a bit too far away, too. Any suggestions for an AFFORDABLE hatchery with a GOOD SELECTION OF FOWL that is relatively close to NORTH CAROLINA?

Thanks for your input; it is much appreciated!

I think I have decided to order from Murray McMurray. They seem to have reasonable prices, and are a bit closer, shipping-wise.
