my buffs don't like to come out side the run and stay in there coop all day, why wont they come out and play ?

How old are they and how long have they been in the coop now?

Great questions, Sumi.

When I open up the pop door so they can go outside, sometimes most are out there within 15 minutes. Sometimes it takes a few days for the first to build up the courage to try it.

It's early days still and they are probably still a bit spooked but the change of scenery. Give them a little more time to get used to the change and make sure they have access to food and water while they are voluntarily "cooped up". My raised-for-batteries hens were so scared of the outside world it took me more than a week to get them to leave the coop and several weeks to get them to free range. But then they did spent their first 18 weeks indoors.

the coop I built is a series of wood boxes that I attached together to make one long and tall chicken coop with a ten by five foot run but they are supposed to be in there only in night and bad weather. my well summer had no problem coming out but my buffs are well chicken lol.

yeah the person I got them from said he kept them in his basement not good that's one reason I saved them. im a volunteer for the ASPCA, and work with dogs and cats and now chickens.

oh good news every one my new chickens are doing great actualy wanting out now when i open the door lol. actualy they cant wait for me to get home from school.
