African geese with funky feathers?

I have 2 young African geese. Fed normally, raised normally, grew normally but now when they feathered out they have little flufs of feathers on the top of their heads. There daddy is a dewlap African and there mommy is just African. Any answers to why they're like that?

Read about the crested breeds. Ducks can be crested similarly to chickens.

post a photo of them please. it does sound like a crested gene, but a photo will help.

I know they can but it's not a skull deformity, it's just feathers.

Feathers on the head most likely means crested gene. Crested Gene= Skull Deformity.

Oh! Cool beans! I'm excited now! I'm wondering how I would get a crested by breeding them. Any idea how I could do that? Like breeding one of my crested with another bird (non related)?

If it is indeed a crested gene I defiantly would not suggest breeding that individual.

Thats Buddy, he has a dewlap and so does the other goose with the feathers like him.

Oooh! Because of the skull deformity? Ah. Let's say i took one of the crested birds and a non crs and bred them. Would that make a skull deformity?
