So I want to get some African geese this year but I don't know if they're good layers? And is there a way you can tell the gender by looking at them? it doesn't have to be a for sure way but mostly guessing

They are a medium layer, laying about 40 eggs per season. Gender wise the knobs on the bill of the gander are larger than the knobs of the female.

Males are taller, longer necked, if in a group, you can usually tell pretty easily if around the same age.Males are more 'forward" and assertive, females are shyer....
