Hi, I'm currently incubating 4 African goose eggs day. I was trying to work out the lockdown time for them. All the sites I've read say they hatch at 30-32 days so when is it best to stop turning and put them into lockdown day 27 or 29? I don't want to risk the eggs by stopping turning too early if they end up going to 32 days but I don't want to risk the gosling but turning if they hatch earlier. Any advice?

Thanks

I hatch goose eggs, too, and I like to stop turning at 5 days from expected hatch date to give them ample time to get into proper hatching position. Turning is more important in the early part of incubation, too, so I'd err on the side of caution and stop turning no later than day 27 and as early as day 25.

Best of luck!
