African goose or no?

Hello my name is Harley, I purchased two geese as gosling's from a guy on Craigslist for my kids. The guy I got them from said they were an American buff and African. They are now 8 weeks old and I'm not sure if we have an African or another breed . I have attached pictures of when they were little and now, which they are about 8 weeks. Our buff is named Skye and what we are told is an African name is Flapper.Also if anyone has any guesses as to what sex I'd appreciate that input as well
