Africans

So about a week and a half ago we got 2 baby africans, they are the same size, but one seems to have sounds like a duck kinda it starting to quack almost its a different peep than the other one, does this mean its a male, or do there voices mature not at the same time..

And when can they go outside by themselves to free range. 5-6 weeks or is that to young.
