After the Goldrush Farm

After 24 years on 5 acres in central Florida, we finally have time for a hobby farm. After the Goldrush is the title of an old Neil Young tune ( " we got Mother Nature on the run" ). Started with goats to help with the mowing. Now, we have acquired 4 Black Star hens, Oprah, Whoopi, Whitney & Star. Free eggs will be nice, but my main goal is to expose my grandsons to a more agrarian lifestyle than they can experience in Orlando. I have posted pics on my profile. As a newbie, any and all suggestions are welcome. This site has been invaluable in giving us the confidence to take the plunge.
