How old should my chicks before I can put them outside to play in the grass for around an hour. It was about 80 degrees today.

By week two, three at the oldest they should be fine to go outside on windless, warm days. Remember, you have to be mama hen for them. Watch out for predators and for signs that the chicks are getting stressed or too cold. Calm, content sounding peeps as they explore is fine. Loud, frantic peeping with huddling and they need to go back under their light.
Enjoy!

once you let them out its so funny to watch them, they fallow you around, and try to eat bugs almost half thier size

Everything gritsar said plus make sure they have some water they can drink from. You will notice there little beaks staying open, then they need a drink.
