At what age is safe to add chicks to my flock of adults. My older chicks will be 6 weeks old this Sunday coming and have just a hint of fluff. When all of their fluff is gone, when can I add them to my flock? Do I have to wait until they are adults?

I added introduced mine when they were afew weeks and now they are with the others all the time ( they are about 7 weeks now) I watched them to begin with to check the others didn't hurt them. They did peck them a bit if there was food involved but have adapted well now.

That is encouraging info.....mine seem to want to get out of the pen they are in. I should introduce them at night though, shouldn't I?

Thanks...I hope they other don't peck them too much. But I am extremely worried about my adult roo(their father) attacking and hurting the roo chicks.
