I'm thinking of hatching from my own chickens, how old should they be to have a healthy chick. Mine are 11 months old but I was just wondering what would be the right age to hatch a pullets eggs?

If they are past the stage of pullet eggs (small or funny shaped) and you have a roo than you are good to go.

I believe my chickens just turned a year old, and we put some of their eggs in the school bator last week. I would think as long as the eggs are coming regulary, not oddly shaped, and decent sized you should be ok.

Hi!
When they are laying 'consistantly' normal sized eggs for the breed,
I'd consider them hatchable eggs.
They should be fine for hatching.
Good luck with your hatch!
