Age of laying

How old do Canadian geese need to be before they start laying eggs. Information online is contradictory. It says 1 to 5 years depending on the site.

Thank you thank you for your post. I am dictating this to my cell phone and hope you get make sense. As to age of Lee lay, I have read different sites saying different ages two to five. I'm hoping that somebody with personal experience will respond to my question. It seems odd to me that Kentucky Canada geese would need to be so old to breed.

Maybe in the wild they are just slower to mature. Hopefully someone will know for sure.
