what is the best age to get my chickens
I was thinking of getting four by getting two to start with and then hatching the other two as offspring but i'm not sure :/

These are the chickens I am thinking of getting:
Buff Orpington
Copper Blue Maran
Blue Laced Red Wyandotte
Light Sussex

well a rooster has to fit in their somewhere. If you want a particular breed the rooster and hen have to be the same or the chicks will be mixed and probably not look like either parent.

You should get them all at once so they all could grow up together and get along.. I have a hard time introducing new youngster into the flock they just get peck on.. I tried the fence thing that didn't work... So now I have 3 chicken coops they are all divided into age groups.. I wanted to have all the girls together but that didn't happens... I hate to the littleones get beat up...
