I have a pair of Brown Rouen Ducks. 2 days ago someone brought us 2 young pekin ducks, my drake keeps chasing the young ones, pulling feathers, jumping on top, holding their necks, and will just not stop. Our ducks are pretty much allowed to be free in a one acre enclosure, and put inside their pen at night. Is the behavior going to get better??? What can I do?? Or just leave them to resolve themselves.?? I don't want him to injure the 2 young ones.

Your ducks especially the drake see the new ones as a threat, out siders, can you put up temp fencing and keep the new ones separate for awhile. that way they all have a chance to get to know each other with out conflict. And if you have a large dog crate maybe use it inside the pen at night to keep your young ones in and out of harms way. They get use to each other it just takes time And

Thank you for the reply. We have been trying to keep them seperate, and yes we did use the dog crate idea. I guess it will just take time then?

Yep time and patience. and when you can be there to supervise let them all out together with treats, tossing treats on the ground may just keep them busy enough to keep the aggression down a notch but this is after they have been living side by side for a while and your adults realize the younger ones are there too stay. Good luck.
