I need some advise from everyone
I have a very aggressive male that acts out every time I enter his pen. He was great and sweet until I added females this year for him. I know they can become protective of their females during mating season which is what I thought it was but it still has continued after breeding season has ended. He is a great breeder and every egg I have put into the incubator has hatched. So I am not sure of what to do. He has drawn blood and torn my pants or boots so many times and I have tried so many things by ignoring him when going in to having to pick him up to stop him from clawing my legs. Some people have said to use a spray bottle but I am unsure if this will make him worse? I raised this bird from birth so he is used to me but I need advise. If I can't fix him I'm afraid he will become taxidermied.

If he's fertile what more do you need from him?He is doing his job.Try bringing peanuts(unsalted only) as a treat for him when you visit his pen. Please do not destroy him.I would gladly buy him if you want to sell him.

Hi Tony,
Yes I have tried everything from a watermelon to cucumbers bird seed that he loves but that only lasts for a minute and then he tries to show off to me and then right after that he comes after you. Not only with his beak but his talons too and boy do they do some damage. I would love to keep him because he has been the best breeder that i HAVE owned and he doesn't tear up his girls. Every egg that I have taken from their pens has been fertile and hatched I just can't deal with him tearing me up all the time. I am not sure why he has become like this because he was so nice loved being around me and then the switch into another bird started. Like I said I was hoping once the breeding season was done he would go back to being normal but he hasn't yet. I don't want to taxidermy him but don't know what else to try? Not sure if taking the females away would help or make it worse? I have done nothing to make him like this he received food treats all the time. The only thing that did happen is the first time when he snapped at my leg and held on I pushed him off but nothing mean>
