Having raised only laying chickens in the past, are 1 week olds naturally aggressive? I am trying to get them used to my hand and they really fly at me and give a warning-type call. After a bit, they will eat egg yolk from my hand, but only the New Hampshires and RR's will. The others pile up in the corner till I scatter the rest on the floor of the brooder. I plan to keep 8 of 25 but at this point I am looking for emerging personalities in the different breeds.
