Aggressive Drake

We recently got a drake from some friends of ours. We put him in with our three female ducks and things seemed to be working out ok. But in the last couple of weeks he has become very aggressive towards one of our females. He won't let her get near him which usually means all of them. We figured he was just letting her know the pecking order, but it's getting worse and she is starting to look haggard. What should we do or should we just let them figure it out.

Unless you got him so that you can raise ducklings, I would get rid of him. The ostracized duck hen was there before him.

That can happen....The Drake picks the Hens he likes and then if one is not to his liking he tries to remove them from his flock...

You may want to separate him or wait it out? Was she the dominant Hen before he arrived?....They do take awhile to establish themselves as a flock....May never be great friends, but tolerate each other........

Only you know on any given day how bad it is or if he should be removed?

Cheers!
