Aggressive nigerian buck

any advice he butt me in the back of the leg while i was putting some chicks up i didnt know he was behind me i raised him from a bottle baby but he was never too fond of people but he has never done this

he is my breeding buck but i am absolutely not attached and this behavior is unacceptable so if he needs to go he will go one way or another

If he is a breeding buck, then most likely his sons will also have this problem. I was bucked by one of our bucks... he is two balls lighter now.

For your safety I would carry a water bottle with you whenever you go out with him. I have only ever had one mean buck and he would pummel you with his huge horns but when I went out with a spray bottle he would not come near. He did his job and went to freezer camp. His kids are all friendly

In all the years I had goats I only had one buck ever butt me. One. He was a not too bright youngster and he never did it again. I was so angry I grabbed grabbed him by handfuls of hide and hair, lifted him bodily off the ground and dumped him on his side. He landed in a mud puddle. I think I bruised his ego more than anything. That behavior cannot be tolerated. Make sure you never turn your back on that goat.
