Hello I am new at this. This is my first time raising chickens. I have 2 roosters a white Leghorn and a Americauna. I also have 3 hens a black sexlink, brown comet and a orphington. My leghorn rooster (Noodle) has become aggressive towards my 7 year old daughter and my husband. When I go into the coop he just stares me down LOL. Question is what should I do? I also have a 2 year old and do not want them to get attacked. This morning my husband went in there to let them out and Noodle attacked him twice, this time it was alot more aggressive and I am worried that he may attack my kids, as for now I will not let them go inside the pen. The hens should start laying egg's sometime in June (not sure how old they are). As I said before we just recently moved to the country and this is our first time with chickens. We've had them since they were chicks and my daughter would hold them and pet them. I want them to be able to enjoy the chickens but I'm just worried about the Rooster. Any opinions and suggestions will be very helpful. Thank you so much.
We moved out here from Los Angeles about a year and a half ago and love it, it's so beautiful.
