My little coop in Minnesota
Hi, I am looking to re-home my aggressive rooster. His name is William, and he is a Turken (naked neck).Need him gone because afraid he will kill new ducks and won't let us in coop without attacking. He attacks us when we go into the coop every time. He runs and scratches you. We tried training him by holding him down as he would mount a hen. He is fine with my dad and acts like he(my dad) is the alpha. Must come pick up. Not responsible for any part once he leaves property. In minnesota.Price is negotiable. Ask for pics if you want them. Contact at [email protected].

An aggressive rooster should be culled, not sold or given away. Take him off the roost at night and use the broomstick method. It will be much easier on him than getting rehomed and then end up in the soup pot anyway. Do it at night so he has less fear and he won’t attack you. The broomstick method is very humane.

Just wondering, what is the broomstick method ???

You lay the bird on the ground, place a broomstick across his neck below his skull and then place tour feet on the ends to keep it in place. Then pull sharply up on his legs to sever the spinal cord. A lot of people like this method because there isn't much, if any blood

I do not have a roost and what is the broomstick method?

Very effective method. Just make sure you pull hard enough on the feet

I mean, I do agree, but someone might just not be capable of doing the deed themselves.
So re-homing with full discloser (which is what the OP is doing) might be the only solution.
And someone else might love a tasty rooster stew.

Just take him from wherever he sleeps.
The broomstick method is a way to humanly kill a chicken. It involves putting a laying the rooster on the ground, and placing a bar across its neck. You then step down on the bar with both feet, and pull up on the legs at the same time, which breaks its neck.
Done right it is very fast, and one of the kindest ways to cull.
However, I can't see anything wrong with what you are trying to do, and re-home with full discloser.
If you get some who wants him, just make extra sure that they know just how bad he is, and that they don't have any kids that could be put into danger.
He could make a lovely soup for someone.
If no one wants him, then either you, or a family member, will need to do the deed, as he really needs to be gone.
