I had a hen who was injured, I separated her from the flock and after she healed up I slowly reintroduced her. During her recovery, the other chickens would try to attack her through the cage. I have gotten the other hens to stop, but my rooster hasn’t. I separated him from the hens for about a week and hoped that would ease some tension between the previously injured hen. Is there anything else I could do to help with the aggression?

Hello and welcome to BYC
What exactly is rooster doing to her because he should establish Peking order with her pecking and chasing it sounds bad but just noisy sure you already know this. It can last awhile but she should submit to him if he is trying to mount her or run if he's pecking to let her know who's boss. Is this not what's happening? is he fighting and trying to kill her I've never seen that. Roosters are usually rough with there ladies from my experience but don't intend on hurting them

Welcome to BYC @LittleLove ...sorry you are having troubles.

I have seen a cockbird chase down and harass a hen that was not well,
luckily I have enough space she could get and stay away from him and eventually the abuse stopped.

Knowing more about your goals for keeping chickens,
your flock size(numbers, ages, genders),
your coop(size in feet by feet with pics),
might offer clues to if there is a solvable problem.

When I first raised my pullet I had an easter egger rooster. One of my dogs pinned down my Rhode Island Red pullet and the easter egger ran over and killed the pullet. I have read that chickens will kill other injured chickens
