Aggressive Rooster

I wouldn’t do that to anyone else. I’m just unsure of what to do myself. Especially after trying everything. I don’t like being afraid of my animals. It seems like everyone else (at least what I’ve read) people are able to break this behavior. Just didn’t know if it’s an age thing or this is just him and I have to live with it
It is fixable only sometimes. Sometimes it is just too ingrained to be fixed. All the "helpful hints" , carry the bird around, etc etc, have never worked. The only thing that has worked is if, caught young, the cockerel is put in a flock with birds above him, adult hens or roosters and he has to rise through the ranks, not always be at the top. That alone has worked wonders. Also I don't make pets of my young cockerels. They are treated well but not played with
They learn to be a good flock rooster from actually being in and growing up with the flock. Once you have experienced a rooster with wonderful personality who does his job well, who is an absolute joy to have around, you will never settle for these aggressive jerks again.
