aging birds... change feed?

My small 4 hen flock just turned 5 years old. I had my first hen that is egg bound and am wondering if there is something other than laying crumble I can give them for daily feed? They still lay a couple of eggs a week right now. They get greens, little bit of fruit, pasta, etc. I don't want to go through another egg bound experience, if feed is a factor.

Besides making sure that they have enough calcium, I am not sure there is a diet that off-set eggbound hens. I do believe it is a "problem" with the hen's internal parts, and unfortunately seems common with hatchery birds.

I have no experience yet with eggbound hens, but do know other member have. Here is a bump.
