Hi, "Midnight" hatched yesterday morning about 5am.

My other 3 "Dawn", "Slow Poke" and "Tail dragger" hatched this morning, starting at 3am.

Well "Midnight"is very aggressive to the others. He/she keeps attacking the others by pecking them in the eyes, walking on them, etc.

I set up a second brooder for "Midnight" so the others could sleep. Well I just tried again to put them together but the fight was on.

oh,
"Midnight" and "Tail dragger" are Black batam rosecombs.

and

"Dawn", "Slow Poke" are OEGB BB Reds.

Any ideas? Is this normal? Should I let them go at it or keep them seperated?

Sometimes they pick if it is to hot in the brooder. Sometimes you just get a mean one. Keep a close eye on Midnight. I have had mean chicks before, not at 1 day but at around 3 weeks. It was terrible, this Wyandotte was brutal. It went byebye after the second day of attacking my poor RIR. They were hatched together but this one just took a dislike to the rest of the chicks. The RIR turned out to be a rooster so maybe it knew but the poor thing was bloody when I found him the first day and I doctored him and kept him seperated until all the wonds were dry, but as soon as I put him back in the pen the poor thing was nearly killed. I took him back out and then the Wyandotte took out after one of the other mutts in the group. That did it for me.
