Hi everyone
I have 1 roo 4 hens and 1 drake 2 female ducks. The drake, a kahki campbell named Boris, was without a mate of 5 months. he is a mature male. he was getting abit bossy with the hens, the odd nip, so I managed to find him 2 mature khaki ladies. we've had them for a couple of weeks now. the ladies have settled in well. The problem is Boris. He has gotten more aggressive....I think he abused one hen so bad she died...it was hard to tell if it was just him...or the other chickens also picking on her. Now he is chasing all the chickens including the rooster. I had to separate one more chicken hen and she had black and blue marks where he had been nipping her. When I've caught him, it sometimes looks like he is trying to mount her.

So what's up? He is fine with people...absolutely no aggression but I have the ducks and chickens all together and its hard to separate him...although I'm thinking I'm going to have to. Do you think he has enough ladies? Maybe he is trying to "recruit" more by way of chickens?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome. We love Boris but I don't want him to kill any more.
