I’m an amateur bird watcher, and love finding new species when in novel surroundings, we just got back from a trip to the SW US and I was googling some potential sightings, only to have google inform me that certain song birds were common in the area this time of year, including a species of grebe. I’ve never seen a song bird with webbed feet, but maybe AI knows something we don’t! Maybe it will be a little while before it takes over the universe after all.

Let's hope not.

Interestingly, I called a Medicare place a couple of days ago, and a very human-sounding person answered, explaining that she was AI. A conversation ensued between us, and other than her repeating a line twice, had she not said she was AI, I'd have not guessed it. So that insurance place has replaced all of its front-line receptionists with AI, and I suppose a ton of places are doing that.

AI can't replace us looking out a window though and seeing a beautiful bird. :)
