Albers brand feed, How much protein should the feed have %

Our flock is about 25 weeks old. We feed them Albers layer pellet. I looked at the tag on it and it says 15.0% crude protein. Is that enough for them? not all of them are laying yet but we do average about 3-8 eggs a day (there are 19 in our flock).
They also free range all day, and get scraps all the time.

Does anyone else use this feed?

The layer I get is usually 16%. I'd think 15% is fine. Although in the winter if mine are getting lots of scratch, I end up buying a "layer supplement" since they seem to like to pick the coldest time to drop all their feathers.

what is a supplement....well, I guess I need to ask in what form do you get it? Or can I just ask for it at our feed store?
