Alektorophobiains. We love them, but many of us chicken owners just can't relate!

Hello! In case you did not know, Alektorophobia is the fear of chickens. For most of us chicken owners, we just cannot relate to people who fear chickens, and think it is rather funny when we see them have their "chicken fits."

In this fun, exciting thread, we can share the funny things that we have seen Alektorophobiains say and do!

For one thing, I think it is pretty funny when people ask, "If I pet your chicken, will it "bite" me??"

One time, one of my relatives would not use my brown eggs in her recipes because brown eggs "Creeped her out!"

Most of the people I have met that are afraid of chickens were attacked by a rooster in their childhood so it's understandable.

My aunt was attacked by a broody hen when she was pregnant and swears it caused her son to have a birthmark where she had been pecked.

yeah I'm trying to break my smaller nephews and nieces of that when showing their mom my new chicks in the brooder under my chickens coop a few weeks ago my older chickens came flying down from the top of the coop expecting treats and she went running out of the coop screaming "What are those things!!??!!" i almost hurt my self laughing at her

I have never actually ran into someone who was afraid of chickens. I have run into people who think white eggs only come from commercial farms and brown one's are natural. I think they aren't the only ones either.

i don't know where that comes from

i have to admit i like brown eggs better then white because i think they have a better flavor but i think it's all in my head because now i want white, blue, green layers
