Alex won't sleep!

My pet chicken Alex won't sleep, when I wrap him in a tissue and snuggle him in my hand he sleeps quietly, but without it he won't sleep. I can't hold him all night because my parents are very particular about Alex on the bed. Is he lonely or what? I've been feeding and giving him water a lot. What can I do to help him sleep?

I understand your parents not wanting Alex on the bed. I love my house chicken, but chickens do make terrible messes.

Maybe Alex just enjoys the warmth of having you snuggle him? Could you maybe keep him close by, but with a warmed water bottle of GENTLY heated microwave bag? Maybe just having a stuffed animal to cuddle with will make him feel better?

I hope you can make Alex feel better.

He needs a friend. My chick did this too. Until I got him a friend. They really bonded. If you will not get him a friend he will do this until you get him a friend
