Alien in Nesting Box

What is this thing?? Found it in a nesting box. My first thought is an underdeveloped egg, that shriveled up but I just don't know. First time seeing this in the 3 years I've had chickens.

Perhaps a dried up lash egg?

Not good. Need to keep a close eye on your chickens and figure out who.

Would be good to cut that in half lengthwise and take come more pics.

I already threw it out. Hopefully won't see anymore but will keep an eye out.

Why do you say is not good? They all seem to be doing fine for now. Definitely keeping a close eye on them though.
