All about Dorkings

Please tell us about your Dorkings. I've heard lots of great things about them, but cannot find many owners. I would love to find some rosecomb dorkings myself.
 
Hi There -

I am still a newbie to chickens, as I've just started my flock last spring. I hatched out both Red and a Colored version of Dorkings. My "coloreds" are really more like Silver Grays, but a bit lighter. I am breeding for vitality, size and personality, rather than a specific color, or show bird. I choose the Dorking because of there hardiness, tolerance of cold, ability to forage, docile personality and of course they are a Heritage Breed - so they can provide me both meat and eggs. :-)

I am in Michigan, and I have rose combed Dorkings. I will have eggs & chicks this spring if you are interested...
