How old are they?
Windows shut on what...? The coop?
What is your weather? Do you not have ventilation in your coop?

Can you give a little more information:
Were these small chicks or adults?
Where are they being kept?

If they are overheating - open your windows or gently move them to a cooler area - not too cold you don't want to shock them. Get everyone drinking - plain cool water or if you have electrolytes that would be good.

I think OP is in Canada...not quite sure that too much heat would be a problem up there???

In the summer it does really heat up and they're body temp doesnent help
