All of my chicken (5 in total) have layed an egg every day for the past week or two. Is this something to be concerned about? Does this mean they will run out sooner? Does it decrease their lifespan?

To add their yolks are always a bit lighter colored than commercial eggs, which feels unusual given they are free-ranging and treated well.

Chickens will be Chickens. Mine laid 9/9 Tuesday-Thursday...... then 10/9 today.

Still trying to wrap my head around it.

Pretty sure springtime windup is high production time. As long as they have good feed and are healthy, they will be just fine.

It's okay. There are always times in the winter that laying picks up or slows down, depending on light, weather, etc. Does not decrease their laying span or lifespan.

How old are these birds, in weeks or months?
What breed are they?

What is there to eat in their range area?
Where in this world are you located?

It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

My chickens are just now getting in gear - slowly. Two of the hens are laying out of 4. One of the pullets is laying out of 4. So three out of 8 are giving eggs. I keep telling them to step it up- they do eat every day. I need some production. I figure it will keep increasing every week until we are up to capacity. Sigh, chickens, right??
