All my peahens left and only my peacock is left.

I am deeply saddened that all 3 of my peahens left. They have free range of 5 acers. I have owned them for almost 2 years and they always stayed close. That's why this is so odd for me. I came home yesterday to discover 2 of the peahens left. Only my cock samson and one hen named dahlia was left. I came home again today to just find my cock. I believe the hen dahlia was hit on the road about half a mile away. I found a bunch of scattered feathers but no body. They where not there when I left today. I have been constantly searching for them. Anyone know why they would have left?? I gave them food, water, shelter, fresh veggies and fruits. They always got curious when I was doing work outside and would watch me. They always had to lay by our glass door and look in. They where my prized pets. I love them so much. I have to sell my cock because he can't be alone and I don't want to buy more incase they fly away also. What could have caused this?

Is there any possibility that they are setting on eggs or that a predator may have taken them? Although peafowl can be wanderers it is unusual that they would have left after 2 years and that the peacock did not leave with them.

When do they start laying? We can't find my peacock now. I really hope they are laying on eggs somewhere my heart is shattered I have searched every inch of our property

Bingo. Either they are setting nests or a predator has run off with them. You can look for them when they come in to eat late morning or afternoon. They will eat and run and will be very hard to follow if they know you are watching them.
