Today our d'Uccle didn't want to lay in the nesting box, she kept walking around laying in different places to see if they would make a good nest. She went in our shed behind the mower and laid there for a little bit. And then she Came out.......I didn't think to shut the shed, so while I was trying to make her a good nest she went i the shed again, our rooster was freaking out so I knew something was wrong. Poor girl, I found her wedged between a trashcan and about four coolers, and her little legs were dangling and she kept kicking and flapping. I was worried she was gonna hurt herself but I couldn't get her out. So I called my dad by the time he got there she got out. Then our roo was sitting in the nests clucking trying to get here to lay there. She tried many different places and eventually laid her egg in the nesting box. All of that fuss over a little tiny egg!
