All the wild birds

I'm having a peculiar issue, the songbirds aren't eating their food or becoming too numerous, but around 5-10 small songbirds are repeatedly using the water dish as a bath. Im worried they are making my chickens drink parasites, and ive seen some fairly heated battles where my one chicken races over to scare them away and a sparrow will hover and peck back. I have a disabled bird (no top beak) and need the open water dish so that she can scoop up water. I'm I over worried if that's all they are doing?

You need a treadle feeder. The best ones have distant and narrow treadle step so the wild birds don't gang up on it and learn to use it and a spring loaded door so big wild birds like pigeons can't just push the lid up or in. Inward swinging lids are best.

The biggest risk with wild birds is disease. All that poop they leave, sharing water and feed. Commercial flocks spend a large amount of money on bio security for a reason.
