Hi everyone! I am so brand new to this chicken world and am learning so much every day. But I was hoping for some insight on the Silkie breed in particular. We have 15 baby chicks right now. 8 or so are around 2-3 weeks old. 3 are older than that, though not sure by how much. And 3 are about a week old. I was supposed to have 3 silkies total, but from what I'm reading, a true silkie will have a black beak, feet, skin. Two of my silkies have a normal beak color, the tan/yellow, but they have five toes and fluffy feet. Hybrid?
And my MAIN question, the one that I'm thinking is my one true silkie, is absolutely tiny. She's white and only a week old but she is soooo small and light. She's eating and drinking and doesn't seem to be in distress. I'm just wondering if this is normal, and this breed is just tiny? I can post pictures if needed. Just looking for advice, thank you
