Chicks look great the Copperhead not so good. Those snakes have great camoflage.

kinda scary, First poisonous snake I've seen in the back yard.

I have been messing around in the woods all my life and the only time I ever got bitten by a snake was when I decide to mess with it. Most bites occur because people just don't walk away. They want to look at them or kill them and get to close. I am glad there is one less Copperhead in S.C but don't worry yourself over it too much. With these warm sunny days they has really been on the move.
