My Coop
It took about 6 months working between weather and work schedules, but we finally got it done! We'll add trim in the Spring this year.

Here's some pictures of the progress for anyone interested: https://www.backyardchickens.com/gallery/albums/daisy-coop-build.7428724/

It looks great. The run looks like you followed the plans. I kind of winged it building the same coop. Our 7 hens have thrived in this setup.

You might consider a little additional ventilation. I added a ridge vent , leave the windows open year round. I had planned a window on the back, but have not done that.

Even though the roof of the run is flat you might consider a roof. I used two sheets of plywood. Keeps out the snow and rain. Allows us to leave the feeder out 24x7. We do have to clear the snow as it falls.

I love this! im looking into building one right now, do you have any plans like sizes for it? About how much did it cost to make?
We purchased these plans from My Pet Chicken (you can also get them through Meyer Hatchery or direct from CleanCoops.com). This one is the Daisy which is a 4x8 coop. We looked at the Bella first which is a 4x4, but ultimately decided bigger was better! Including the run (with cement blocks underneath and 1/2" hardware cloth all around), extra dirt (to raise up the run area) and gravel (landscaping and predator deterrent - we hope!) we spent almost $2000.

We kept the soffit area open all around up top, and keep the windows open most of the time. I've though about doing something in the back, too, but not sure what yet.

We're considering ideas for covering at least part of the run. Being under the pine trees helps lessen the amount of snow and rain there, but we might build a movable angled top of some kind.

Nice Coop...[except for the colors ;)]

Could you get a better pic of the inside showing roosts....didn't really see one in your gallery.

How did run roof hold up to the recent snows?
We were originally going to do the traditional red and white, but decided the white would get pretty dingy anyway and went with gray. Of course we live in Ohio, so...it seemed appropriate enough.

No problems with the snow, but we only ended up getting about 4 inches instead of the 12+ that were predicted. It came down slow enough that it didn't really stick or build up on the roof at all. When the pine needles dropped in the fall, I just used a push broom to brush them off and plan to do the same mid-storm if we ever get a ton of snow and haven't put an angled roof up yet.

I do need to get some pics of the roost "boxes"! I will try to do that today.
