I am so close to finishing the coop. All of the siding is up, corner trim up, front breeze way door installed and sliding glass windows installed. All I need now is the roof installed, ramp and the two doors to the back of the nest box cut.

I am thinking about getting some youngin's and keeping them inside of the coop for about a week so that they get used to their new home and to give me a weekend to build their yard.

The coop itself is (not including the Entry Breezeway)
  • 42" wide
  • 72" long
  • 53 1/2 inches high

The planned yard is going to be:
  • 7' wide
  • 9' long
  • 6' high at the highest level

Quick questions also: based on the measurements I gave, how many girls can I house in here? With the yard being installed, I am thinking about leaving the entry door open all the time, except for the winter months when it gets below 50.

Pretty close to 4x6 so you should be able to keep 6 hens comfortably, very nice looking coop.
