(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I was used to growing up with random chickens, but now since I’ve moved to Indiana I have chosen my first new breed, Black Australorps
(2) How many chickens do you have right now
I have 10 right now. Rural King sold me 10 pullets, but I’m sure 3 are Roos.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Just the black australorps for now.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They bring a lot of fun, purpose, and pest control for my garden.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m in school for Botany. Gardening, self sustainability, & overall nature stuff. Hiking too!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My small ohana (family) here is me, my bf, one mixed white and grey cat named Lumi, and one aussiedoodle named Kona. Of course the ten chicks too.
